Ida Senshū was born around 1890 and was active during the Taisho and early Showa eras. In 1928 he collaborated with Gōda Shūetsu and others in setting up the Kōgei Shunsō Sha craft company and in 1937 he was awarded a Silver Medal at the Paris Exposition Internationale des Arts et Techniques dans la Vie Moderne
