Natsume tea caddy, the turned-wood core finished in polished black lacquer and decorated with a dense design of chrysanthemum blossoms in minutely incised gold chinkinbori, the interior and base in rich nashiji gold flakes and the kaō monogram of the tea-master Horinouchi Sōkan (b. 1943) in red lacquer.. Comes with a white silk wrapper signed Tetsurō and the original fitted kiri-wood tomobako storage box inscribed outside Natsume (Tea caddy) and signed Tetsurō with red seal Hōshūdō; inside the box lid is Sōkan's inscription "Uchi nashiji chinkin natsume Sōkan" (A chinkin tea caddy with nashiji interior, Sōkan).
