Sueharu Fukami: Porcelain Sculptures
Past exhibitions exhibition
Overview
We are delighted to announce our September Asia Week exhibition of porcelain sculptures by Sueharu Fukami, widely regarded as one of the greatest living ceramic artists of Japan.
The show, our third solo exhibition of Fukami, features twenty works by the artist from the 1970s to today and includes his recent masterpiece Ko(Splendid Solitude), pictured above.
With works in the permanent collections of more than 55 museums worldwide, Fukami is widely admired and collected, both in his own country and across the seas. While his mature abstract style embodies a contemporary global vision, it also reflects a traditional disregard for the time and effort required to produce these works of flawless beauty and elegance.
